[Travel-Post] The life in Irkutsk. (D+11)

It was quite late time, when we arrived at Irkutsk.

So we needed to sleep after few chat with host Jania.

D+1 In Irkutsk.

The first thing we were surprised was the snow.

The snow was thick everywhere.

you can see how much the snow is thick.

We were quite tired cause till yesterday we were in the train for 4 days.

So we just looked around where we stay for few hours.

The Russian don't make event for the Christmas.
They have big holiday from 1st January to 9th January for new year and Christmas also.
But we are not the Russian, so we bought some food for Christmas party for us.
We made some Korean food.
The name of food is JJIM DAK which Korean style chicken stew with rice.

With jania.

Jania was quite enjoyed with our food.
Then she said 'we need to drink some beer!'
So our night was continued with beer.

Alcohol shop. The beer is going out from the tap.

D+2 In Irkutsk.

It was good weather to go out.

The snow is everywhere.

The first sightseeing was 'The Kazan church.'
It was so beautiful even from a distance.

OMG.

You should go there and need to go inside also.

That atmosphere make me so calm and holy.

It was amazing experience. 

A magnificent Indoor.

We felt hungry when we were going out the church.

So we have been just closest shop.

OMG.

You should go this shop too.

There is a cheap and so delicious Kebab.

Closest shop ever.

The best Kebab.

We have been some sightseeing after that.

But there was nothing impressive.

D+3 In Irkutsk.

We wanted to see the lake Baikal.

There is good place to see the lake Baikal. 

The name of place is "Listvyanka."

It's not too far from Irkutsk, just 1 hour by the bus.

And the way to Listvyanka is also beautiful.

We expected the lake is freezing.

But It was not freezing.

Instead that the weather was freezing.

So we couldn't walk for long time and felt hungry.

So we went to central market.

We wanted to try the Omul which the fish only live in the lake baikal.

Omul with fried rice.

The Omul was so much better then I thought.

D+4 In Irkutsk.

We wanted to go to 130 district. 

Cause Erena who met in the train recommended us to go.

There is a church front of the 130 district.

There is a monument of the Babr on start point of 130 district.

The Babr is a sybol of Irkutsk.

It's half-tiger and half-beaver with a sable in his mouth.

130 district is good place to get some rest and shopping.

There are many cafes, restaurants, shops even shopping mall.

In the mall.

We came back to Jania's house after few hours.

And Jania gave us traditional food.

I've forgot the name of food, but It was delicious.

We had Interview with her.

 D+5, Last day in Irkutsk.

We had to take the train on at night time.
So we decided to go out till then.
We realized that there was snowing last night.

The snow on the snow again.

We could do this thing.

We haven't been to restaurant which local people going to.

So we tried to go to that kind of restaurant.

There was a restaurant which so many local people are there, near by central market.

It was not to hard to order, cause there are huge menu with photo.

We didn't know that local food was surprisingly delicious and cheap.

We bought some food for life in the train which for 4 days 5 nights.

We said good bye to Jania, and went out to go to the train station.
And It was snowing for us who carrying huge luggage.

And again we took the train on.

How will it be going?

What will it be happen?

Nobody knows.

So, The train is starting.
