[Travel-Post] Happy new year Moskva.!! (D+19)

It was New year, when we were in the Tran-Siberian Railway.

We arrived Moskva at 4:30 am, 1st January.

                                           

Fortunately our host Michael was still awake until then.

Because It was New Year which is biggest holiday in Russia.

And our host is very specialized on bars and clubs. (according to what he told me.)

That was good for me, because he even came to us and picked us up.

Day+1 In Moskva

So we had some talk and we were getting out.

Moskva has good metro system.

So we needed to buy a ticket(called Yediniy).

We bought an unlimited ticket for 3 days.

Our first destination was Izmaylovsky Kremlin.

There are some small museums as Russian dresses, bells, vodka, chocolate, etc

But It was new year, so all of them was closed.

There are kind of souvenir shops beside of Izmaylovsky.

So we just had a look.

Then we were going to Arbat St.

We took a metro. (because we have unlimited ticket.)

What I surprised is the metro station.

It was huge and beautiful like a museum.

We didn't know about that the station used to be military roads.

There were many peoples on the Arbat St.

But not many stores were opened.

There is a singer who is quite famous in Russia.

The Singer's name is Viktor Tsoi.

He is half Korean, half Russian.

He had sung for kind of freedom in Soviet.

There is a place to remember to Victor Tsoi in Arbat St.

For the last, We have been to Christ the Saviour Cathedral.

It was huge. (In Moskva, Everything is huge.)

We have been to inside of Cathedral, but it was not impress to me.

It is just huge. There is nothing to impressive.

I don't know why. Maybe so many peoples are there.

And I couldn't feel anything holy from there. (It's just my own think.)

And we made some food for dinner.

                               

It was long day. because we started at 4 am.

We just slept.

D+2 In Moskva

We wanted to see the Red square.

So we have been to there, and there was huge festival. 

(as I said everything is huge in Moskva)

There are so many shows, so many thing to do, so many thing to see.

What we do in festival is just enjoying.

And we had an appointment with Revecca.

Revecca is our friend who have met in Nepal at 2013.

and we had been trying to meet in Korea, but we couldn't meet.

Then she sent a message to us 'When are you coming to Moskva?' when we were in the Siberian train.

We were very surprised about "When are you coming."

She was in Moskva too.!

So we have met in Russia for the first time after 2013.

Nomaly we go to cheap restaurant as local people go.

But for the this time we have been to good restaurant.

First meal in the good Restaurant.

Then she introduced us place that beautiful.

So we had a lot of walking and talking.

It was so much fun which to be with good people.

D+3 In Moskva.

It was cloudy. (Honestly It was cloudy every day.)

We have been to Red square again.

I expect that the festival was going on, but It isn't.

So we just walked around of Red square.

There are huge buildings. (as I said)

One building was great.

It was the state historical museum.

We couldn't go inside, but the outside of building was amazing.

It was beautiful. I can't explain how much great was.

We have been to book store to buy some post card.

OMG.

In the book store we have met Revecca again.

and then Michael called me to hang out together.

so all we are going to the pub that Michael introduced.

There were so many people, cause It was still holyday.

so we needed to wait for long time.

Michael said 'This is Russian, we needed to wait for using our money.'

But food was good.

Then we went to Arcade game exhibition that Michael introduced.

There are so many Arcade game which are released at 1980~1990.

With Revecca & Michael.

Then we have been to cafe that Michael introduced again.

It was place for kind of nerd or costume mania.

There were places decorated with each concept.

We had good time in there with a board game.

D+4 In Moskva

The deadline for our metro ticket was over.

So we bought ticket which can use 2 times.

As I said The moskva metro stations are very beautiful.

And some of them are special.

So we traveled to the metro station.

Here is the list.

Komsomolskaya (ring line), Novoslobodskaya (ring line), 

Kievskaya(ring line), Kropotkinskaya (Line #1 - red), Kievskaya (Line #3 - dark blue), 

Arbatskaya (Line #3 - dark blue), Ploschad' Revolyutsii (Line #3 - dark blue), 

Mayakovskaya (Line #2 - dark green). 

Also look at the architecture of the ground entrance building of Arbatskaya (Line #4 - light blue) and Krasnye Vorota (Line #1 - red).

There is something interesting.

People are touching the statue.

Statues are shining because so many people stroked.

That means that there will be good thing.

Everybody stroke.

We did too.

The nose of dog is shining.

You can't see how deep it is.

That day was quite clean day.
So we just looked around and took pictures.

My favorite building 'State historical museum'

St. Basil's Cathedral (AKA Tetris Castle.)

The Gum department store.

The last night was so beautiful.

We had one day more.

But we should go to St. Peterburg at last day by night train.

So we decided to get some rest at last day.

D+5 In Moskva

We were in the house all day.
Because our train is a night train without a bed.

At the evening we went out the house to the station.
Way to the station, one boy carefully spoke to us.
He couldn't speak English well, but he wanted to make some conversation with us.
We are using Couch-surfing, so usually we stay at the not touristic place.
Maybe The stranger was something special to him.

A boy, Roman.

Moskva was huge, and beautiful.

We had good time with good people.

We didn't expect that we can meet such good people.

But we did.

Who knows about future.

So now we are going to St. Peterburg.
